Seige Teams 101

Siege battles in Summoners War demand a keen understanding of team composition and strategic planning. Whether you’re fortifying your defenses or launching an offensive assault, crafting effective teams is crucial. Below, we’ll delve into proven strategies for attack and defense teams.

General Tips for Defense:

When constructing your defense team, try to build well rounded, tough to 1-monster counter teams. Alternatively stack teams that all share the same counter.

  • Prioritize having at least one heal, cleanse, and strip abilities.
  • Incorporate revive and provoke as needed for added resilience.
  • Avoid teams with no frontline, except for in unique situations such as meta hyper-aggressive assassin comps.
  • Build around a specific LD Focus i.e. Ragdoll, Jager, Frigate, Woonsa, Lannett/Light MK, Grogen etc.) – Try to build teams specifically around strong dps LDs. If stocking a castle try to stack mutliple of the same type of team that share a counter unit to make them use up their counters.

  2. Be Mindful of Enemy Oblivion: When facing teams with oblivion effects (from units like Tesa or Lina), proceed with caution. Ensure your strategy accounts for this debuff and plan accordingly.

5 Star Defense Comps

Common Meta Comps:

  1. Double Bird Teams: Consisting of double birds or single bird with Psamathe, paired with Craka or a provoke tank. Ensure the team has 3x shield rune sets.
  2. Double Archers or Beast Riders: These teams often include an attack buff and a reviver like Vanessa. While countered by Leo, they remain formidable. Run archers with attack speed and attack enhancement artifacts.
  3. Stacking / Specific LD Focus: Build teams around strong LD units like Ragdoll, Jager, or Frigate. Stacking multiple teams with shared counter units can be effective against opponents.

5 Star Attack Comps

  4. Maximize Wind Fairy (or Hwahee) and Water Harp’s Abilities: Wind Fairy provides immunity strip and AoE Opress, making it a hard counter to units receiving cooldown reduction, like Ragdoll. Similarly, Water Harp counters stun, freeze, and knockdown effects while removing defense down.
  5. Leverage Juno’s Mana Battery Ability: Juno, while not a direct counter, can act as a mana battery against non-Josephine teams. This can provide a significant advantage, allowing your team to maintain momentum in battles.
  6. Consider Jamire’s Silence/Root Counter: Jamire is effective against teams that rely on silence or root effects, making it a valuable addition to your attack arsenal, particularly against units like Ophilia or Lannett/Light MK.
  7. Include Jubelle for Cooldown Effect Countering: Jubelle can shut down all cooldown effects on the battlefield, similar to Leo. It counters most 4* teams and, with the right artifacts, can boost your ultimate gauge with every cooldown effect used.

    • Non-Josephine teams
  • Jamire:
    • Silent/root effects
    • Ophilia
    • Lannett
    • Light MK

4 Star Defense Comps

Common Meta Comps:

Absolute Best Comp:

  • Darion or Mumen Rider with evasion.
  • Cassie with Attack Enhancement Artifact.
  • Loren with Attack Enhancement Artifact.
  • Kroa with legendary artifact (essential).

Darion+15 or Mumen: 100% Evasion, rest Def/HP
Kroa: 3x Shield Rune set, then HP/ACC
Loren and Cassie: ONLY need 60% CR, rest CDM/ATK/ATKSPD

Alternative Comp:

This comp is countered by Jubelle but still incredible strong.

  • Purian with healers.
  • Purian with Mav/Dova and unrevivable units like Shushu.
  • Purian, Mav, Shushu, Rina
